One Stop Pop exists because of my three daughters. All three of them. And one very eye-opening wedding.
When the first got engaged, she wanted nothing to do with a traditional event center. What she did want was a barefoot, boho-chic wedding tucked into a mountain forest, complete with an… archery range?? Yep, you read that right (the proof is in this photo). Romantic, beautiful… and completely impractical. No power. No restrooms. No kitchen. No anything.
Naturally, my wife and I said, “No problem!” We’ve been in the event venue space for close to 20 years after all. Surely we could pull this off.
(We had no idea what we were signing up for.)
We hauled in tables and chairs. Linens. Flatware. Decor. Grills. Porta-potties. Everything. My wife missed helping our daughter get dressed because she was setting tables. Instead of enjoying our first daughter’s wedding, we were busy working it.
The day turned out exactly how our daughter dreamed it would.
But here’s the thing—we didn’t get to experience it.
While everyone else sent the newlyweds off with flower petal confetti, we were tearing everything down… still in our wedding clothes. Then we spent the next 24 hours cleaning up.
That experience changed everything.
We realized something important: today’s couples are wildly different—just like our three daughters. Different personalities. Different aesthetics. Different ideas of what “the perfect wedding” looks like. And not all of them fit neatly into traditional event centers or hotel ballrooms.
So we created One Stop Pop.
